This vacation was succesful because:
1) The children are still alive!
2) We got home!
3) Aaron is married!
Other than that, the kids were cuteness personified. it was G's first wedding as a little boy, not a baby. He made friends with the band (and even landed a set of real drumsticks because, as the drummer who gave them to him said "The world needs more drummers!") and danced much of the night with a 7 year old girl named Haley. N danced, too, but was mostly glued to Mommy which put a bit of a leash on Mommy's dancing!

3
As the School House Rock song says: "Three is a magic number."
The week G turned 3 he did 3 things for the first time:
1) asked to go on the swing (twice!) because "now I'm three, I can". Requested to go "medium" high. Dutifully said "whee!"
2) asked to ride on Daddy's shoulders (possibly to depose N from her throne up there)
3) went down the big slide all on his own. First time slowly with feet braced on the sides, then with more confidence each time.
3! Whee!

Happy Anniversary 5-28-08
What did the kids do today?
G and N slept until NINE O'CLOCK in the morning. Then G woke up and requested that the fan be turned off. Then he buried himself under the covers. When N woke up G played with her quietly and gently for at least five minutes. When we came in, G said "don't take her away!"
Here will be a record of every day joys...and maybe other things.
